NOPE.
|
I'd personally go with either Bowser v Guile 1 on 1, or Bowser v Guile v Air Man cashing in his Casual title for a main title shot. I totally understand people thinking Goemon and Duke deserve shots, and in practically any other season I wouldn't have a problem with them taking a chance. But Bowser and Guile's claims to the title are on another level even above those two, and Air Man is looking like he has the potential to be the most dominant midcard champ we've ever had and could easily go for the Big Gold if he wanted. I wouldn't have any qualms about giving Duke and Goemon title opportunities...but not quite yet. |

Yeah, if if narrow it down to a 1v1, that would easily be Guile vs Bowser, no question. |

No, that would be terrible. Scorpion might lose.

If it does come down to a 1 vs. 1 battle, Guile and Bowser are the clear choices. However, I get the feeling that it'll be a Fatal Four-way, so my guesses are Guile, Bowser, Goemon, and Duke. These four men have gotten the biggest wins and looked the most dominant this Season.

Yeah, if Bowser gets a 1v1, He'd win. No matter what, he is fucking unbeatable (Well, not totally. Pheonix Wright and Arino but I think Arino was a bit of a fluke and Wright was just an enigma). Guile MIGHT be able to use some of that heel magic but I can't see Scorpion taking him. That being said, I think a Fatal Four Way would be the best choice, yet at the same time I'd like to see a little tournament (Goemon v. Guile and Duke v. Bowser, or some other combination). Airman could also be worked into the equation if he pulls a Goldberg, but I doubt it. We know for a fact Guile will be a part of it. Bowser will too, due to his recent dominance and ranking. Whether or not Duke or Goemon are in is up to Gabe. Edited by DongyKonga, Aug 27 2014, 07:10 PM.

My Prediction My Actual Prediction King of the Ring Tournament. I said it before, but it has been a long time since we had one, and I think we're due. |

I think Bazza would probably make it a Four Way just to give Guile some chance. If you put him in the ring with Bowser, alone, he's going to die. |

I mean, he's not like my favorite guy or anything, but if Bowser's the most dominant 1v1 competitor, Bowser should probably be the champion. We shouldn't be looking for ways to screwjob him out of a title. Unless Illidan's the third guy, in which case yeah sure I'll allow it

I hope it's a 4-way match because I consider a multi man match to be Bowser's final test before a he gets championship shot. |

I wouldn't mind if Guile was awarded the title shot without fighting for it. He's already gotten so many huge wins, and would make the title match instantly important if he were to stake his claim and challenge Scorpion. There are many others who have a claim as well, but for an End Game match, Guile would be the biggest and baddest challenger for Scorpion IMO. What better way to further legitimize Scorpion's reign than to knock off Guile? What better way to establish Guile as the biggest threat next to the robots than to be holding the championship? Title shots aren't often awarded without contendership matches, so I think the contenders will have to fight it out for their shot at Scorpion. Whoever gets the opportunity for a title match will have earned it, Guile or not. |

KOTR would most Likely be: Guile, Bowser, Nappa, Goemon, Duke, Heavy, Johnny Cage, Illidan, Pheonix, Barrett (he's ranked top 20 somehow), DK, Bison, Snake, Octodad, Haggar, and Dan (seriously, he's the highest ranked guy who isn't a robot or fighting said robots). As you can see, we'd REALLY have to grasp at straws to get 16 guys. An 8 man Tournament could work though. |

I shouldn't be worried about his ability to win, but Guile has already risked losing his momentum many times, and another match that isn't for the title would again put his hot streak at risk. His claim to a title match is undeniable, probably even more so than Chell's, and I don't think many people would question it if he were a handpicked opponent for Scorpion. If he's in the contender's match, he's got a great chance of winning anyway. |
