I think Ganon vs Haggar vs Illidan for the belt would work, if we're not counting people in the GM tourney. Might be too early for Guile, I don't know. |

Actually, I forgot that Dan(who just appeared in the casual contender's match) was in the GM tournament, so the "GM tournament people won't get title shots" thing might not hold water. In that case, I'll go with my earlier prediction and say that Ganondorf, Duke Nukem, Phoenix Wright, and Johnny Cage are the most likely contenders. Edited by Wyvernil, Nov 11 2014, 09:09 PM.

A rose, by any other name...

On the other hand, it's Dan, and supposing that he probably would be bounced from the tournament before his Casual Title match happened isn't exactly going out on a limb. In the event that GM Contenders are being considered, however, I wonder if Ebisumaru has a compelling enough case for being in a Casual, or fuck, even VGCW title contender's match down the line... |

Shouldn't we be going by the logic of 'Phoenix pinned Scorpion, so he deserves a title shot already' Especially since he wrecked him in a squash match and is the next man on the power rankings (obviously disregarding Air Man), I think if there is a contender's match it should be for the 3rd spot in a triple threat match for the title If there's going to be another halfway ppv like Chamber of Elimination or the stacked card for the Royal Rumble in Season 7 the date can be set there, and it gives a couple of weeks for wrestlers like Guile, Duke, Ganon, Cage, Mac, Illidan, Dracula, DK, Haggar and possibly even Bison to have booked matches to prove themselves Scorps has been pinned twice in recent weeks and is starting to look weaker than the 'Greatest VGCW Champion of All Time' moniker sets him up to be, so what better to prove his worth than 1. Going against someone who's pinned him and shown he's one of the best in the league 2. Going against someone who's won a contender's match between a number of great wrestlers 3. Defending his title in a Triple Threat Match, which has only been achieved by Eggman Edited by goon, Nov 13 2014, 07:08 AM.

Order! Order in the court!

Honestly if Octodad loses, Casual Championship needs to be mixed up a bit. Either add wrestlers who are nearing topcard to the Casual Contenders, or mix up the match type with triple threats, maybe the Chamber, Fourways, TLC matches, anything. Midcard straight-up 1v1 doesn't cut it anymore for Airman if Octodad, top midcarder right now I'd argue, loses. He's really too good for Casuals to be honest, he could use an actual VGCW Championship run instead. It's like Dracula having the Casuals, except he lost it in a tables match. Thanks Waluigi. |

Season 9's chamber match being a casual title match is a cool idea. |

I could get behind a casual elimination chamber match as well. Maybe as an Endgame 9 thing, or happening at the same time as the Rumble for the main title. |

That's what led to Airman's streak, which isn't really solving the problem. While people like Haggar, DK, Groose, AVGN, Sabin, M. Bison, Ness and Snake fill the criteria for 'could possibly beat Air Man' we don't want a similar situation as soon as they get the title, as well as higher talent ending up winning contenders matches over the midcard talent which the Casual title was made for. Multiman matches are a good idea though |

So no question that Phoenix deserves a shot at Scorpion. Personally I would love to see it settled in an epic Iron Man match. As for the Casual belt I think Octodad is going to pull off a major upset. The next challenger should be decided in a 4-Way between Donkey Kong, Bison, Sabin, and Illidan. Or any 4 guys in the middle of the roster who are on the rise. I'd love to see PK Chu make their first defense against the winners of a match between The Bullies and The Mavericks. Technically the DK Crew should fight the Bullies or The Saiyans for the next shot but I am tired of seeing the DK Crew and Bullies/Mavericks seems like a fun match. |

Plus this way even if Airman loses he can keep his Singles streak going and look like a big threat to the main belt like "Yeah, it took five guys at once to get the belt off Airman, what a beast" |

Yeah but that requires Airman to actually defend the belt more than once a season. No offense to Baz but Casual Title should be defended more frequently. That is kinda the point of a midcard title. |
