Birds vs Sonic and Knux, they won their last match as well.

Birds recently beat the Mavericks so they can't be that bad.

Give the Dark Lords a match against TJ&E. (Because Push TJ&E)

Winner fights Birds for contention.

Why aren't Gary and Illidan a tag team again?
Also Sorry for doubleposting but, This.

GMs being Tag Teams with their assistant GM needs to be a constant.

Now be honest, when we saw that Dan had lost his title to Knuckles, is there anyone who thought the next Casual Contender WOULD BE FREAKING DAN?

Star Road and Endgame loom large on the horizon. So, I wonder. Who will be next to face Scorpion (or Red, or Nappa) at the start of Season 10? We've had a while to let the upper card fall into place, so here's some preliminary predictions:

Donkey Kong vs. Dante vs. Bison vs. winner of Dracula vs. Bowser bout

DK's probably the most obvious lock for a space on the next contender's match. He's scored some solid wins against Goemon and Ness; both up-and-comers on the upper midcard. It looks like it's time for the Big Monkey to barrel his way to his first legit title win.

Meanwhile, Dante's a newcomer on a hot streak, having just toppled the legendary Mac in a singles bout. His presence in the title picture will probably be determined by how he performs in the 6-man Newcomer bout at Endgame. If he wins it all, his place is likely assured. If not, it could be given to someone with more experience. Snake is probably the most likely replacement, with a recent win against Johnny Cage to his name.

Bison's been hovering around the upper midcard for a while, though his rise has stalled out for a while. Beating Phoenix could be his chance to escape from midcard hell. Before putting him in the title match, though, I'd give him one more match against Snake, Haggar, or Air Man.

The announcement of a future Dracula vs. Bowser match is pretty damn big, whether or not it will fall on Endgame itself. Both of them are former top carders whose fortunes have declined, and who have not met with much success in the GM Tournament. The winner of this match will be in a prime position to go for a title shot as a consolation prize.

Honorable mentions are Snake, Haggar, Air Man, and Ebisumaru. Depending on future performance, I could easily see any of these four inserted into a contender's match. Duke Nukem's also been killing it in the tournament, but he's just had a chance against Scorpion, so I wouldn't insert him into the title picture so soon.

Might as well make it a 6 man

DK/Dante/Bison/Winner of Drac vs Bowser/Snake/winner of another big singles match

NOPE.
I'm kinda reluctant to keep throwing Bison in all these title shots every other match. I mean, beating Phoenix is a big deal, but he's had like 3 contender's opportunities within his last 10 matches or something. Guy needs a break.

DK/Snake/Dante sounds good. Haggar too if he wins one more time.

Well...Scorp had a bunch of botched casual shots, but then on his first VGCW attempt he won. So who knows.

If Phoenix beating Scorpion got Nick a title attempt, you'd think Bison beating Phoenix would get HIM one.

But he's had quite a few title attempts recently. You'll all remember how brilliant his fight with Knuckles was. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bison stay out and let the guys who haven't had shots in ages get a go, like Donkey Kong. It's not as if Bison can't keep himself busy. Every big win just builds up his profile more.

X: Doubt
I disagree on letting Air Man into a contender hunt just now. For starters, he just scored a tag title shot thanks to Break Man, AND he just lost disastrously to Ezio. Guy needs a match to prove himself.

Snake deserves it IMO. He's been on a good streak and he hasn't been in the spotlight in a long time. Maybe we could have Snake vs Ganon or something like that to see if Snake is indeed top tier.

I definitely agree with Snake. Him losing Fox deserves at least the chance to tie into the plot somehow.

As a addendum to my prior predictions, the outcome to the Newcomers' 6-man match is likely to have an impact on the future title scene.

Of the six, Dante and Johnny Cage are the most likely to be able to parley a win at the match into a title shot. As mentioned before, Dante has had a strong start, and a win at Endgame is likely to mean that he gets plugged into the next contenders' match. Johnny Cage also has a strong record, but has been set back by a recent loss to Snake. It's likely that, should Cage win the match, he'll end up facing Snake in the contenders' match.

Travis and Sabin, on the other hand, don't have quite as stellar records as the above two. Sabin talks a big game about going for the championship, but it's likely that becoming the future of VGCW alone won't get him a chance at the gold. He'll need to prove himself against higher tiers of talent first. The same goes for Travis, though he's relatively unproven in singles and may be able to ride the momentum well.

Toad, in the unlikely chance that he wins the match, gets to prove that he's not a complete joke of a wrestler. Losing to Eggman and Kefka is not the most auspicious start to his career.

And the Star Road winner is likely to get a big push out of winning their first match. They probably won't be thrown into the title mix right away, though. A victory at Endgame may lead to them getting a prime match against top-tier opponents.
