The Illidan/Gary split/betrayal is inevitable, I agree, but there's noooooo reason to rush to that yet. Gary just hit the very top. If Illidan were to fuck up his title shot and continue to displease the Oakmeister, I could absolutely see him breaking off, potentially even turning face in the process. As much as I'd love that..... we have let things come to a boil. One night of Gary being kind of a dick to Illidan is not the inciting incident. Illidan should act in the Assistant GM Role until the time comes for his betrayal. |

Gary invoking GM powers to get himself in a title match against Scorpion to prove he's better than Red would be the ultimate burn if he wins |

Order! Order in the court!

Gary should get a shot, he's the GM anyway he WILL get a shot. Also, there's no reason for Illidan to jump off the Gary train quite yet. Seriously, he's now the GM's main man, bodyguard, and muscle; he has too much power to lose right now by betraying. Needs more buildup. |

NOPE.

Gabe as GM and champion was the worst thing in VGCW that wasn't Season 8. I don't want Gary to befall that same fate. Let him run the show and do fun Gary things. He doesn't need titles, he's proved his worth. |

To be fair, with all these wins Gary kinda has earned a contenders match, at the very least.... |

I'm with you, and i love the Oak Man more than anybody. Any heat off a Gary title win would be better transferred to Illidan as his bodyguard/Brock Lesnar/Best Bro/other B words |

Okay, moving on to the next set of predictions. Casual Title Okay, here's what I think would make for a good Casual contender's match: Flint vs. Kefka vs. Groose vs. Goemon Flint's got a bit of momentum to work off of, having beaten Octodad in a match. Since Octodad's a perennial casual contender, this could be what he needs to get a casual shot. Kefka has some recent wins against Wario and Toad, so he might be a good pick for casuals as well. I know, I know. Groose gets a lot of casual title shots, and you're all sick of him. But he's beaten Octodad and won a recent triple threat, so he's got a lot of momentum behind him. Either let him have one more shot at casuals, or try to elevate him against an upper midcarder. For a fourth pick, Goemon would make a good choice. He's hovering solidly between midcard and upper midcard, and he has a recent triple threat win. He's been stuck in Ebisu's shadow for a while, so a casual shot might give him a chance to distinguish himself. Honorable mentions are Arino, Wario, and Zangief. If you absolutely can't stand giving Groose another shot, maybe have two of those three fight it out for the fourth slot. There's also the option of giving Knuckles another rematch to blow off the feud against Dan, and make it a tiebreaker match. If you feel the midcard needs more time to build momentum, this is always an option. Edited by Wyvernil, Feb 17 2015, 10:33 PM.

NO. Do not give Groose another fucking Casual shot, especially not after he pinned VEGETA. Especially not after he's blown so many Casual shots recently. EDIT: Well, beaten, but still, need to have a Groose/Bison consideration for them to try for top card. Edited by bladeworksmaster, Feb 17 2015, 10:36 PM.

My opinion is unchanged, and so is the fact that I make long ass posts While the names have switched around a bit I'd like there to be a couple shows before the next #1 Contenders to truly get solid contenders from the roster. If there's an Elimination Chamber it'd probably be hyped up or the halfway PPV (Unless it's the Rumble) so it gives good time for the entrants to prove themselves further. Contender matches in the past have been more 'If you're doing well, have a shot', but with Scorpion now definitively the best champion of all time we need solid challengers. Guile's road was Duke/Ganon, Strong against Kefka, Strong against Tingle/DK and Cage, the contenders match being Hot Guile vs Reputed Bowser (Who 1. Had beaten Gabe and Haggar and 2. Hadn't been active for a while, so not the guy everyone was talking about at the time but still deserving of a title shot.) - Currently 4th in the Power Rankings (wow) but his singles record recently is Air Man (Last season's End Game) and Snake. While I'm happy Barret is going places I'm always skeptical when people jump on the most notable win of an episode and say he's ready for a shot. Everyone was clamoring for Haggar to be in a title match a couple weeks ago based on wins over Billy Lee, Goemon/Zangief and Wily/Guile/Cage, and now he's a 'maybe' based on not being active for a little while, which is silly because his standings haven't changed. Barret has been spending his time being the lesser half of a tag team and has one singles victory in the past season. When he beat Illidan and Vegeta he got a Casual contenders, he beats Snake and people think he's ready for a main title contenders match? As with everyone else right now, book him in a match against someone else in the large pool of possible contenders and whoever wins out of those have a stronger case (I'm keen on Ganon/Barret). Or have a tournament. - If a loss to Barret puts Snake out of the running, why does a loss to Nappa not matter for DK? His momentum was riding off Kefka/Sabin, Goemon, Ness and nice showings in Money in the Bank and the MK Krew match but a loss to Nappa stops that momentum. DK is in exactly the same boat as Snake right now, it's disingenuous if they get a title match after a loss but SUPER disingenuous if one of them does but the other doesn't, especially since Snake's momentum was from established topcarders Illidan and Johnny Cage while DK's wins are over midcarders. Snake vs DK is a match I'd like to see and would be good to decide between these two - Ebisu, Segata, Johnny Cage, Arino, Dracula. Bowser is still the topcard beast he once was but he's no longer the King of Singles (Congratulations Airman/Scorpion!) Right now he's still part of the exclusive club of topcarders who if you beat you get a massive props (Little Mac, Dracula, Phoenix, Ganon) which leads me to say put him against someone else in the pool of strong competitors and we'll seeEbisumaru - Gray Fox (the most important win truly), Bowser, Vegeta, Duke Nukem. Impressive wins with momentum stopped by Duke, Ebisu has only lost to him and Tingle so far which shows he's a true wildcard that can be a threat. However, a momentum stopping loss makes him similar to DK and Snake but he has a bit of a stronger case. Still, book a match because he could end up being impressive - No. Gary Oak, Knuckles/Groose, Phoenix. Bison is a strong competitor and definitely one to watch, his huge momentum stopped by obviously strong Gary Oak and a stint in the Casual chase. After last week's episode there were talks of Bison vs Groose (Knuckles/Bison, Octodad, Captain Falcon/Vegeta) which I think is a great match, one between two guys on the edge of the topcard and either one winning will boost their claim to a title match. If there's a large multiman contenders match on the horizon then the wildcard entry would definitely be one of these two, if it's a tournament we have a round one matchup, if it's a regular contenders then I'd need another win out of the winner between them if they're going to take up a precious contender's slot, if only because there's a large list of eligible people at the moment - Snake?, SNAKE?, SNAAAAAKE!!, Big Baz (I don't count VGCW vs WWE) Illidan has always been changing between being a dominant performer and putting over other people in great matches due to having dominant performer clout. I want to say he's back in his dominant groove after the snake feud but one win, over Bazza no less, isn't enough. He's definitely back in the pool of potentials but he's not a contender yet (Even though he's one of the 3 people that NEEDS to face Scorpion for the belt right now storyline wise along with Phoenix and Ganon)So luckily we'll probably have a couple weeks to sort out who is worthy for a truly hype contenders match, (on the level of Guile/Bowser and Scorpion/(Snake)/Phoenix) I'm hoping from the large group of people who have somewhat of a case for a title match we have a couple of matches between them. I made a quick list of the rest of those guys below Spoiler: click to toggle There's a lot of people with cases so hopefully after a bunch of matches or a tournament we get someone who can have a hype buildup but also potentially beat Scorpion Edited by goon, Feb 17 2015, 10:39 PM.

A lot of contenders built up. Small 4 man tournament at the start of S10 maybe? Barret vs Donkey Kong. Groose vs Bison. Both winners face each other for the right to challenge Scorpion (or Nappa.) If it were to be an 8 man tourney I'd add in Dante, Cage, Ebisumaru and Haggar. Not adding Bowser just yet because he lost in 1 v 1 vanillas to Cage and Ebisumaru. Snake needs a win against one of my top 4 to get back in with a shout to me. |

For Casual I agree with people asking for Dan vs Knuckles 3. It seems fair and I'd love to see Knuckles pull the mindgames to get a title shot. Maybe a contender match against Flint or someone like that. |

If Knuckles could convince Dan to give him a contenders shot like he gave Dan, I'd be all for it for the fairness of it if nothing else. I dunno if Knux will be able to use the superior mind games that Dan did though. Flint and Kefka are certainly up for a Casual Contenders match though. They're two wrestlers who haven't had a shot in ages, and they've both won their last two singles matches. |

Nah, what Knux needs to do is what Dan did. Beat Ezio. No I am not trying to shoehorn Ezio in even though he's already had a bunch of shots, what are you talking about? |
