If DK had lost to Nappa in a regular match I could see it, but I don't think extreme rules counts for much, even if that's the only way you can get Nappa in the ring 1 vs 1 with you these days. I mean, Tingle beat Haggar in one. |

Extreme rules isn't as wonky as everyone says, and people right now are just using it as a way to say that Dk's loss to nappa shouldn't count. Extreme rule or not, Nappa reversed a banana slamma and won after hitting a finisher, then four minutes later hitting a signature, something that would have secured a win in any sort of matchtype, if the scoop slam hadn't put DK away the Ghost Bomber right afterword would have. Regardless, I think, yeah, a few matches that put current big contenders against eachother would be good. DK vs Dante, Groose vs Bison, Cage vs Barret, then the three winners hit a condeners match together. Hell, add in Haggar vs Snake and make it a 4-way. Edited by FoxyStalin, Feb 27 2015, 01:12 PM.

Only argument I have is that I think Groose should hold off on being anywhere near any contendership, especially with Haggar in that scene, too. Bully overload might not go down well. |

Yeah, you have a good point there, It won't be like Duke and Guile for the casual contender's back in the day, that could have some fallout. ...I still want to see Bison vs Groose though. |

I vote Goemon get a few more 1v1 matches up against some higher card talent, it always bugged me how nobody really cared when he beat Snake despite how good Snake is in the ring. |

Goemon's tried going against higher card talent. He got Banana Slammed. And Lawyered. If he can't beat DK or Nick, he won't stand a chance against Scorpion. |

I know, I want him to break out too, but he's gonna need to get better at singles matches. MAYBE he'd put up a fight against Mac, or a hardy mofo like Jensen? |

Since Barret kinda demolished Snake, why not him VS Goemon sometime? See how that shakes up. Despite people in the chat shitting on him, beating Goemon is certainly an accomplishment, given he was doing pretty well for himself against Nick and DK, and Barret's statistically only under both champions and the #1 Contender at the moment. Or, y'know, just give Goemon more singles matches in general, to get a better read on him. Edited by Justin_Brett, Feb 28 2015, 12:03 AM.

You may as well book Goemon against fan faves like Barret and Snake and see what happens. Goemon is never getting cheered by the crowd, so he may as well. It's hard to get a good idea on where Goemon lies in the card right now, he certainly could use less tag matches and more singles. |

I'll admit to being out of the loop, but is Goemon anywhere near credible as a main title threat? I mean, Scorpion went from failed Casual title chaser to GOAT so it's not like you can't skip grades after failing to get the junior belt, but Goemon's Casual fodder to a T. |

He won that six-man dark match, which included Gabe and Air Man, beat Snake, who we know understand is good, and was in the top ten wrestlers at one point. He also came closer to beating Phoenix than the champ himself did, although it admittedly wouldn't be that hard to do better than Scorpion did in that match. I'd say he's a little above the casual belt in this game. He's sort of like a weird, inverse Phoenix actually, in that he does super good in triple threats but not so much in just singles lately.

Seriously, the last three singles matches were against Snake, Phoenix, and DK, and with the exception of DK, he came out of those fights strongly even beating Snake. Give the guy a little credit. |

Ugh.

I would love to see Goemon get a shot at something, whether its casual or co-op it doesn't matter (though I don't see him as main title material) His career has been very stagnant since that co-op contender match almost a year ago and Ebi has largely overshadowed him since. I know he can do more then just win multi-man matches. And make the crowd salty. |
