That's no fun, though. Rumbles might not guarantee the best match-ups in the world but that's kind of their appeal. Guys like Wily would never get a whiff of the title scene if it wasn't for the Rumble. These sorts of guys might not stand a chance 9/10ths of the time, but it makes the times where an underdog truly can overcome all that much better. It's "Anything can happen in the VGCW!" personified. Some elements of the brand split in WWE were nice, but by far the worst part was that the Rumble no longer guaranteed a main event(or at least co-main event) title shot. Let the title breath for a while IMO. We've had 6 matches for the title this season already! Rumble is always fun for introducing new guys to the title card though so I'd be fine with that. Other than that, I like the idea of seeing the topcard develop a bit more with all the newcomers and new streaks. |

I agree that we should let Nappa have some funny title antics while contendership sorts itself out. A rumble has the potential to give us a really interesting matchups (Flint, Phoenix, Vegeta, Kefka, Duke, etc.) but there are a whole lot of guys who could make a claim. Because of his loss last night I can't say Johnny Cage as much as I love him. Here are guys that should be focused on and have matches with each other to determine who's worthy of a contendership match: Snake, Dante, Goemon, Zangief, Bison, Sabin, Vegeta, Duke, Ganondorf, Ebisumaru, Donkey Kong, and Air Man. If Kanji and Armstrong pick up more wins they can join in too. That's 12 TO 14 people. To say we've got a lot of potential challengers is an understatement. I can imagine the Rumble Winner being one of those guys, too. EDIT: I actually forgot one: Bowser. Too many challengers, man. Edited by DongyKonga, Apr 29 2015, 10:18 PM.

Thank you for remembering that Goemon exists and is actually really good. |

The fact that there are a whole lot of people with basically the same amount of momentum is the biggest factor saying we need a rumble or some similar "Whoever whoever" to let the title scene simmer for a few weeks while still giving Nappa something to do. |

Or give us a six man elimination match, those are always amazing. |

Next time we have MitB (which will be a while from now), I think there should be 6 qualifying matches first. It would make getting into the match itself feel more meaningful while giving more wrestlers a chance at the title. |

I'd think that Gary would want the belt on Armstrong. |

I was honestly really surprised Goemon wasn't in Challenge Tower. Guy is a fantastic worker with a great track record. But yes, a Rumble is a good idea considering there's a decent chance we'll get a guy on that list, and if not, who cares? Nappa v. Wario or Nappa v. Zubaz, Nappa v. Anyone, really would be just as awesome, even if Nappa is seemingly unbeatable for them. Once the Rumble is over, Bison needs a push. Outside of helping out in the season 8 finale and a cheeky World Cup joke, the guy has had 0 plot. Shocking for a guy who's so beloved. I see him as VGCW's Jill. More than a few parallels. |

Pick two more and you can get the amazing stew that is a 16-man king of the ring going. |

Guile's had a bit of a cold streak lately. Dan, however has done surprisingly well for himself. I could also make a case for Heavy and Haggar, too. A King of the Ring sounds fun but Star Road was last season, and a tag tournament this season already. |

Ehhh, I think I'd rather see Haggar over Dan, to be honest. But that's just personal bias. |

MAY IS ̶B̶A̶E̶ HEEL!

Has their ever been a tournament where the champion(s) had to compete in the first round instead of fighting the victor? Might end up with 4 different champions in the same night but eh, could work. |
