RUMBLE TIME

With it being a 40-Man Rumble, some people are inevitably going to not be there, so I'm going to predict the ones that definitely won't to be everyone in the casual championship, as well as Scorpion (should be a given), and Kanji (I love the guy and all but I think he needs to develop in plot first before going for the gold). The Dragons I could see going either way.

I could see excluding Red too, he won the last one. Although the champ is new now so it would at least be fresh. Alternatively I could see Gary making him #1 so he can laugh at him.

Red can be in the Rumble no problem, if he somehow wins twice then he will have earned it. I mean please please don't let that happen, baby Jesus, but fair's fair!

Likely people to get left out of the rumble:

Nappa - Current champion
Arino - Casual champion
Scorpion - Former champion
Flint - Casual contender
Kefka - Casual contender
Eggman - Casual contender
Kanji - Just debuted
Armstrong - Just debuted
Gary - The GM, plus he just had a championship match
Mac - Legends contract, and it's too soon to have him enter as a "surprise" challenger.

Though I could see Gary pulling strings to put himself or Armstrong into the match.

I don't see why debutees can't participate in the rumble. Some people have made their debut in rumbles.

One could argue that Kanji and Armstrong haven't done enough to deserve a title shot, but the whole idea with the rumble is that anyone could win. If guys like Jey Uso and Raijin can be in, why not Kanji and Armstrong?

The thing about Kanji is that he hasn't had time to develop a real plot role yet. Armstrong could work because we had that even before his debut: he's the muscle of Gary's group and the guy you don't want to get caught in the ring with. Kanji hasn't gotten a role like that yet. I'd rather he get time to work on that before he even gets a shot even in a championship of any kind.

We shouldn't count out the casual contenders, I mean, remember the time Knuckles was in Tag Contenders, Casual Contenders, and a rumble on the same night?

Remember last year when we were excited for this?
Rumble's probably the last match of the night, so it's not too hard to just put the people who lose the casual match in the rumble too.

This is Snakes chance at redemption. He was the runner up of the last rumble, let's see if he can do it again.

Ugh.
He'll draw #40 and lose. Just another day in the life of Snake.

if snake isn't somehow one of the first 10 to come out i will be pleasantly surprised but still fearing the worst because this is snake we're talking about and terrible things just seem to gravitate towards him.

Snake has been in two seperate rumbles where He fights through at least ten men and is one of the final three only to be eliminated by someone who came in after him.

I fully expect Snake #27, making it all the way to 40, only to be eliminated by #40 Zangeif.

Gotta make Gief look strong.

I'd prefer Dante to do that to Snake though, just as a glorious FUCK YOU to everyone involved.

And we have new challengers for the title, plus a new Casual champion!

It's probably too soon to make predictions on the main title as of yet, but a couple of potential casual contenders have emerged.

Wario vs. Heavy

Wario has beaten both Waluigi and Jensen recently, and his singles successes seem better than his co-op career. It could be time for this class act to make a run at the casual title.

Meanwhile, Heavy has beaten Falcon recently, and has also had more success at singles.

Other possibilities include Sabin and Zangief, but I feel both have more potential as rising stars, especially if Gief beats Toad next week. Give Sabin a match against someone like Bison or Haggar, and we could see a new face in the top card.
