Well with some trends that happened in the main event scene i could see an Flint Vs. Eggman happen or they could go back to scratch.

Give Sabin a match against someone like Bison or Haggar, and we could see a new face in the top card.
Sabin/Bison rematch? Yes please.

Honestly, all three of the losers from the Casual match could leap back into contention really quickly. Flint, Eggman and Arino could be trying to go for the belt again pretty soon. Dan proved that, if you're popular enough, you can jump right back in there, and Arino is certainly popular enough. But the Casual scene is so fresh right now that they'll likely need to get another win in first.

And perhaps Mr Money could be looking to make the climb up as well. Winning the Casual belt would certainly be the boost his career could use.

I want Wario to win a belt, I REALLY do, but getting it through beating Waluigi and Jensen? Maybe give him one more match with somebody on the lower card, Toad or Zubaz maybe, or Eggman, they could both use a win of of each other.

I ALREADY TOLD YOU! I'M THE BEST!
If Toad ends the push, I'd say he should be in the next casual contenders. Throw Wario and Heavy in there and we're golden.

I actually wonder something, Arino has been pretty solid in Non-Gimmick matches lately and did decently against '14 Bowser

...could the Kacho possibly rise above the midcard?

Do you know what happens when Arino fights topcarders like Duke and DK? He goes through more punishment than anyone should feel comfortable seeing a bunch of polygons and heart go through.

Ladies Love it.
Arino CAN fight and beat topcarders.
Not with near enough consistency to be main belt material though.

Arino is about as close to the Topcard as you can get without actually being in the topcard.

Guile did nothing wrong
Fatal 4 Way excluded, Arino hasn't really beaten anyone close to topcard status, except for Groose if you really want to stretch and count him as being near there.

His only singles wins have been against midcarders like Dan, Ezio, and Knuckles.

Arino's aimed at the main belt before but it always felt like overreaching. The man's Casual to the bone.

Order! Order in the court!
Arino is the true wildcard imo.

Sometimes he'll give it his best and show you an amazing match, like vs Dan and Knuckles.
Hell even against people like Groose, Guile, and Bowser, he won out.

Then he gets buried by Dracula and Bowser 1-on-1, but as I recall they were close matches that required reversals to win.

I wouldn't mind seeing Arino attempt to gain the Main Belt if he gives up on the Casual Belt, especially since Scorpion is out of the picture. It wouldn't be too far-fetched, and what's the worst that can happen? If he gets squashed in singles matches, oh well I guess he's not prepared. Gotta stick to Casuals.

But if he manages to have 5 star matches while winning? That would be perfect for him to receive a push.

So you're saying Jensen's not a good enough accomplishment, but that Toad, who has only beaten Wily, and Zubaz, who hasn't beaten anyone, would be? Jensen's beaten Kefka before, but he's beaten both of them, so it would be a lesser accomplishment given the champion at the moment.

I'm not saying Jensen isn't an accomplishment and Toad is. I'm saying Wario should have at least 3 wins before getting a shot at a belt, ESPECIALLY after his dry spell.

Updates for the title picture: We'll be getting Nappa's first title defense next week, so stay tuned!

Meanwhile, we've got a potentially important match coming up with Kanji vs. Snake next week. Kanji's been riding the lightning since his debut with a big victory against Johnny Cage, and he adds another notch to his belt by pinning Dante and Zubaz in a triple threat. Meanwhile, Snake came closer than anyone to beating Scorpion in a clean fight, and many feel he deserves another shot at the belt.

The winner could very well find themselves in the contender's match for Endgame 10. Against who is a question that is yet to be determined. We could end up seeing Duke, Goemon, or maybe even the return of Ganon...

As for the casual title scene, it seems to have opened up again with the fall of Wario tonight. Depending on who wins matches in the next few weeks, it could change completely. As for a tentative matchup:

Toad vs. Protoman vs. Layton vs. Heavy

Toad scored a surprise upset tonight against Gief, but he still has the stigma of losing to Eggman to overcome. Meanwhile, Layton bounced back from his loss to Sabin by showing Falcon his puzzling moves. The two may be newcomers, but this season seems to be going for a "newcomers vs. veterans" theme, so a mix of both might be appropriate.

Meanwhile, Protoman scored the win against Wario, but is he too good to be slumming it in Casual contention? Besides, he'd be yet another potential Triple Crown winner if he went for the Casual belt.

Heavy is the most replaceable pick. Sabin's another possibility, but he's hovering on the border between "midcard" and "top card".
