Travis is in a good track? Don't remember him really doing anythign deserving a title shot for the biggest title of the industry. Is he not like... 2-2 on signle amtch and have a losing record if you take acount of all is matches? He dosen't even have that much of a momentum for him. I know he dosen't have to be a Kanji, but dang, he could prove something at least. Make him face another tough opponents at least.

I kind of feel the same for Layton, is four single matches ended up: Beating Falcon (Does it really count as something? My grandmother could beat him), get kill in the last 2 minutes of is match again Sabin, beat Guile and get destroyed by Flint. He still need one good win to make me feel like he deserve to be in title picture, especially when we consider the fact that it's for being the number one contender at End Game!

Remember, earning a Contenders match within 5 or so matches is the EXCEPTION, not the rule. Travis and Layton are on a pretty good track right now. We shouldn't push everyone to be a Kanji or a Dante. Not everyone goes storming out of the gate as soon as they're in.

Kanji and Dante went running out. Travis and Layton are jogging behind. Zubaz never actually left the pen, he got his foot stuck as the door opened.

Toad isn't sure where the race is going on or where it's going, but he's pretty confident he's gonna win it nonetheless.
Zubaz got addicted to sugar cubes and now has scurvy and a headache.

I feel like you should have at least two wins or one HUGE win in order to get into a contender's match.
Huge like, when Protoman became the third person to ever beat Air Man and got into Elimination Chamber, or when Pheonix DESTROYED Scorpion.
I'd say Toad would qualify since Geif was looking like a beast when THE BEST took him down in an amazing, built up match, but Toad just got Donged.

Breaking news: Endgame X is set for June 9! That means we've got two more episodes until the big night!

That also means that it's very likely that the contender's match could be next episode, barring something like an Elimination Chamber at Endgame. That means we should make picks based on who's ready right now, rather than those who need "one more match".

By the way, my picks for an Elimination Chamber for the #1 Contender spot would be as follows:

Kanji vs Dan vs Donkey Kong vs Duke Nukem vs Sabin vs Goemon.

I'd say any of those six are ready for the contender's spot. If we end up getting an independent Duke vs. Kanji match at Endgame, then Dan/DK/Sabin/Goemon would make a good fatal four-way to determine the #1 contender.

We've got a lot of people who are only coming off a single win there. Dan and Donkey Kong especially.

At this stage, I'm really not sure who we could have unless Bazza decides to just go nuts and throw a bunch of people we'd never expect in, ignoring win and loss records. Right now the only potential guys I can really see are Sabin and Kanji. If you accept people with only one win you can maybe add Duke or Phoenix or something, but I'm interested to see what the heck Bazza will do here.

I remember Bazza said once on twitter that we get really caught up on who deserves to be there, and the biggest factor is going to be who would be intereseting to see.
So, I'm sure it'll be good.

Isn't Dante only fresh off one multi-man loss? I know he got his shot at Challenge Tower, but I wouldn't mind him in the chamber. Though I guess that'd mean a heel vs. heel main event. Which would kind of be hilarious, a contest between the company's newest asshole and oldest asshole to determine who is the biggest asshole.

Can't we just hand this thing to Duke? I'll go all Tanya Harding on the other contenders if I have to.

Why is there so much talk of Goemon? The only thing he's accomplished lately is beating Haggar, otherwise he's been largely unsuccessful.

Goemon beat Haggar and before beat Sonic and Arino in a triple threat.

The triple threat was JANUARY 27. Goemon has had ONE singles match since then and a total of THREE this year. And his losses in singles before that were DK and Phoenix Wright - not exactly 'stop the push, he's done' wrestlers. At the very least, Goemon is untested in that our reading on him is currently 'can beat Haggar and Arino', which is juuuuust at the bottom of the topcard.

Still, Arino and Haggar is a better pedigree than some of the contenders' names we're tossing around - DK's still gotta lick his wounds from Feenie, Dan probably should have another win, and Duke is getting into the Ganondorf territory of 'when can I see you wrestle again'?

Duke has not earned a shot at the belt, stop trying to shoehorn him in.

Duke's still a monster and out of the whole roster makes the most sense storyline wise to take down our current champ given their history. Guile's form has been sketchy, so who'll know when we'll get another chance at two contenders in the title match at End Game who know each other so well. He's a square shaped peg that fits in a square shaped hole.

Pretty much anyone can go against Guile and it'll be an even match since we don't know which Guile will decide to show up. The one who pinned DK, Cage, and Bowser in succession or the one who died to Segata, Wily and Layton.

I wonder if Arino will make a claim for the belt. The guy hasn't been pinned yet this season and on top of that he was the one who eliminated Guile in his last fatal four-way. The Nicest Man in Japan vs The Biggest Douche in America has a good ring to it.

He also has another thing going for him. He has won, or come close to winning, MOTN quite a few times this season. Nobody has been as consistent in sheer match quality this season as the Kacho.

There's really only one choice for the contendership.

Toad.

Who cares that he got pinned by DK, he's the best and he's ready, brother.
