Toad would be all "Another belt, add it to the pile"

I'm always the man.
My guess would be Duke vs Kanji for #1 contendership

The way I see it, there needs to be a small tournament, and this is how I would book it.

Illidan vs Armstrong
Toad vs Dan
Duke vs Kanji
Airman vs Sabin
This is the best idea I've seen so far, but I'd swap out Duke for someone else, preferably new gen (Dante or Layton) because as much as I like the whole Civil War thing, for fuck's sake, Duke has been so moderately dead this season it's almost funny. He's done jack fucking shit, so I don't think he deserves to be in there to be honest.

In addition, I'd personally swap out Air Man for Break Man, but that could be just me. Break Man has been looking a lot better in general, and he also gives us the great "Guile vs. Proto/Break" rematch. Plus, three time VGCW champion Break sounds nice.

NOPE.
Airman shouldn't be in because his last two non glitched fights were losses to Ezio and Octodad. Not exactly inspiring competition.

I would give consideration to Layton and Arino since they've pinned Guile this season

I booked Duke and Kanji because there was a lot of foreshadowing of a clash between them, but that could also be saved for a potential Endgame match. I'd be willing to replace Duke with Bison if needed. I wanted to book people in the minitournament who haven't won the VGCW title before.

Also, I tried to make Old(ish) Gen vs New(ish) Gen matches to continue the theme of the season.

the only way Airman could even be considered a contender in time would be if he buried Ganon in like a 5 Minute Squash and even if it happened next episode we're finding out contender then, so RIP

Maybe next Season Airman...maybe next season...

(But yeah maybe if we're going for a few Wildcard-ish picks I think Breakman would be fine)

Also yeah I think Sabin has a realistic chance for a contenders match, the guy has fucking shaped up and got gud, so why not, lets see how mister Figaro does

Yeeeahhhh, as much as I know people want a Duke/Guile rematch...he's had 1 match...at the start of the season, I don't really think that warrants a title shot

Not my best foray into fantasy booking, but hey. You all seem okay with my other six potentials so maybe we are on to something here.

yeah like, I legitimately think if we had a few more weeks Dan could make a case for a main belt shot

Breakman too

I'd say the same for Groose...if he...wasn't already in Casual...

Hell, maybe Arino could too, :idunno:

You know what? Let's tweak things, but also adding predictions on who I want to win!

Illidan vs Armstrong (Illidan wins)
Dan vs Toad (Toad wins)
Arino vs Kanji (Kanji wins)
Bison vs Sabin (Bison wins)

Illidan vs Toad (Illidan wins)
Kanji vs Bison (Bison wins)

Illidan vs Bison (Bison wins)

I played The Game and got stuck with Dunn for a month.
Honestly, if I was a betting man for what happens tonight, I'd say a fitting contender's match would be this as a six-man, as per tradition:

Bison vs. Sabin vs. Dan vs. Barret vs. Haggar vs. Heavy

Two because boolies would want to have all the belt. Three because of how well they've done so far. And one because his suffering is amusing when he chokes.

I still feel Bison shouldn't be booted out of the running completely considering he's 7 wins to 3 losses in singles for his past ten matches, but a loss to Dan will likely count him out until Season 11. I dunno if Dan winning one match against Bison is worthy of a Contenders shot, but hey, Dan could be really damn good instead of just pretty damn good, so I'd be happy seeing how far he can go.

Tonight will be very interesting to see what happens. Anyone could jump into the running for Endgame at this point.

Guile did nothing wrong
Even after that Dan match I doubt anyone would object to Bison as a viable wildcard

he still has wins over Phoenix and Break Man, who have both looked good recently too

Both Mavericks have very sound arguments for the next contenders match
