Sounds Like A Bodacious Time

Ganondorf can be played lightly. I mean, he's from the desert, he could probably build a good sandcastle and rule his kingdom with an iron fist. Nappa/Ganondorf has definite potential to be amazing, but I doubt either of them are getting the boot soon. It could be put off til later. |

Giving Ganondorf ANY match is shaking things up, frankly. He hasn't shown up enough to have Scorpion's prestige and lost to The Nightmare. He's in a good, Nappa-like position where we can just throw him against guys and maybe get a match out of it. Let's just let it play out. Here's a pool I'd love to see, with a line between guys I wanna see get the title shot and guys who can just be used to push or hold back certain other members of the high/top card. Cage Travis Arino Dracula Dan Bison Air Man Bowser Red Goemon Haggar --- DK Ganondorf Phoenix Barret Dante Gary Kanji/Sabin loser Anyone from the upper pool feels great, and anyone from the lower pool can enhance really well and pull off good matches or give a good pop/give people good exposure. Ganondorf definitely deserves a spot. Even if, hypothetically he were to win the title, it wouldn't necessarily need to be doom and gloom. I think with Travis/Dante likely in the Tag division for the time being, I think if Arino/Cage win another match or two (maybe against each other) they should fight Ganondorf in a #1 Contender's Match. Air Man also isn't too far off. |

...Red in the title picture? He didn't have a single match since he lost against Scorpion for the damn belt. He's still suppose to get 2-3 win a row if he want any type of title opportunity. In is last 10 match, he have one single, one handicap, one six man and seven tag team match. He's far away from having any type of momentum that could make him a potential contender. In fact, he's pretty much bottom of the barell since is last single match was a title shot. The guy should be kept away from the belt for a moment, there's guy way over him. Hell, maybe if he beat 2 or 3 top carder, maybe he could look legit after the guy that gonna face the winner of Sabin/Kanji, and that's like 3 wins in a row. Not win-defeat-win. It's not liek Red got 0 chance to get the gold, in the spawn of is last 16 match, he got a shot at all 3 belt (and won the tag one), I think the kid should build up momentum, poor guy he's so young, don't push him like that, you gonna hurt him! I also have to wonder for some other name in the list, especially Haggar wo also seem unprepared. He got a win against Arino, yeah, but had rpetty much nothign else to show is worth in the victory side lately. |

Since the Casual title scene is wide open at the moment, here's my current picks for the contender's match: Knuckles vs. Dracula vs. Toad vs. Goemon Knuckles and Dracula have both won multi-man matches recently, Toad knocked Gief down a peg, and Goemon was on a hot streak before getting stopped cold by Travis. Hopefully next week the lower card will get some matches in. There aren't a lot of obvious picks in the midcard at the moment, and things could easily change based on who wins the matches. |

Which is why it'd be interesting to put him against contenders since he did nothing for a season and he's proven consistently above-average, not to mention putting him in casual contention would be a bit redundant. Might as well let some good men bleed red. I don't even like the guy that much and I think he'd put on good matches. Not asking for him in contender's, asking for him to fight some people. The next contender's should be QUITE a while from now. |

TOH is the guy who created Bikerdorf. I think he'll be able to make Ganon work well in this Season without infringing on the lighthearted feel of the thing. |

Don't you dare get my hopes up like that only for them to be inevitably dashed on the rocks of reality. |

I would like to see more of Segata, really He was great on that storyline with Bowser and Ebisu and he's pretty good in the ring. After that defeat versus Bowser, he honly had 2 matches (And he could have won that 6 man if he would have stop to help people who recieved finisher to get back on their feet). I feel like he could become a potential Casual Contender if he get one or two win. After all, before the fight versus Bowser, he ahd beated Guile, won a triple threat elimination versus Travis and Flitn and had beated Dr.Willy, so he did seem ready for a push in the midcard. |

Pushing the momentum table here but let's take a look at who's above or on par with Sabin. We have Arino(2), Travis(4) and Break Man(7). I don't think a contenders is even neccesary for these 3. A straight up Fatal Four Way for the title with Sabin/Kanji sounds pretty good. I feel Ganondorf(3) can bide his time a bit though, he'll always be a threat at any time thanks to his squash over Scorps. Cage(14) I feel needs another win just to prove he can be consistent. I'm not sure if he's ever won more than 2 in a row. There's someone else I've been looking at as well who is a real dark horse and that's Flint(10). He's been on fire in his matches and has looked awesome ever since he broke his losing streak but he got stuck in a ladder match and a 6 man for his casual shots. I'd like to see him in a straight up challenge against someone like Donkey Kong or Bowser and see how he handles it. If he wins then I'd definitly consider him for the main title. |

Flint breaking into the top card would be absolutely great. |

Order! Order in the court!

Flint needs to be booked in topcard matches if he wants that. He should undergo the trials that many other midcarders has gone through, and honestly I see potential in him to be a champion. |

We should really not overdo the multi-man match thing. Our last two title defenses after Scorpion have both been multi-mans and they've both resulted in the champion not winning. We'll get one singles defense in with Kanji, but I think we should have a rumble or KOTR to determine our next contneder. From then on, sure, throw some more multi-mans in with peripheral contenders. |

I've always hated the idea of champions defending in multiman matches outside of extenuating circumstances. Typically, I'd think those are better for seeing who among those riding momentum can make that last push into the big picture. Even then, it can be very difficult to build momentum from a crapshoot multiman. Edited by Cran Rightia, Jul 19 2015, 03:20 PM.
