I also gotta agree, I think a champion's worth should be proven in a singles match before we roll out the gimmicks to dethrone them, at least. |

I think that it depends on how far your suspension of belief goes. Because most of us know enough about this game that we understand how it works, we are able to recognize that the most "fair" match type would be a singles match. However, to the wrestlers (if they were conscious), beating two people in a match is better than beating one person. |

Nappa doing his Nappa thing is perfectly sensible since he is well...Nappa. Guile got screwed though. |

This week, I'm going to focus on the Casual title scene, since that's the only one that doesn't have a contender lined up. Knuckles vs. Red vs. Layton vs. Ezio Knuckles won the six-man contest a couple of nights ago, and the other three won their matches tonight. I'd say these four seem like a pretty good lineup. Alternatively, Goemon could be subbed in for Ezio, but Goemon's kind of hovering in that space between midcarder and main eventer; his recent victory might have pushed him past the threshold. |

The problem I see with that is yes all four of those guys won their most recent match, but they are all on one match streaks iirc. So are people like Raijin. There is no real momentum there. I'd say see what happens next week. Also, Air Man for VGCW champ. |

Guile did nothing wrong

Now I want The Fuckheads to go after the tag titles and Big Breezy vs Break Man to be the match for the main belt |

Main belt scene: Bowser. I'm sorry if I'm buying into the hype, but it's fucking Bowser he hasn't had the belt in forever and he is overall a fun guy and high on the card. So why not? |

I'd agree that Bowser's earned some consideration as a contender with that match against Duke.
With that in mind, I'd probably slot Bowser into the fourth space, or have him fight Air Man for it. Of course this lineup also depends on if Ganon decides to stick around, or take the legends contract and go into retirement. And whether Travis decides to make a run for the title, or stick to co-op. Travis, Johnny Cage, Air Man, Bowser, Ganondorf, and Arino are my top six picks for the next title shot at the moment. I'll wait and see how the pecking order stands once Kanji vs. Sabin is done.
For casuals, sometimes one victory at the right time is all you need. If you wait for someone to gain momentum, they could end up overshooting the midcard and end up in that dead zone where they're too good for casuals but not quite ready to go for the main belt. Big Breezy's gets some more momentum on his way back to the title scene, and Bowser makes a pretty solid statement. This is getting interesting... |

Sounds Like A Bodacious Time

Bowser fucked up Duke who is pretty damn strong. That's worthy of a shot, imo. |

NOPE.
|
I'd still have Air Man ahead of Bowser, since Breezy's not only beaten Duke but he's got a multiman to top it off as well. Multiman is more impressive than Layton, in my eyes. But this whole debate can be settled in an Air Man vs Bowser fight, and man that sounds REALLY GOOD right about now. |

I believe multi man to be one of the less impressive things in the federation ( Ladder match is simply unimpressive to win) because it's base a lot of the time on AI derpign around, especially in things like a table match. So yeah, I don't really evaluate Airman having a better victory than Bowser. |

That's a really good match for a #1 contender, it should even have build up if it happens. |

Order! Order in the court!
|
That'd be a good #1 Contender's match if not for the fact that there were other people that won last week that deserve a shot as well. I don't think the Contender's match should be made yet until the match of Kanji vs Sabin. THEN we can talk business. The momentum is racking up, we'll see how they end up by two weeks. |
