Dunno if you'd found it out yet, but if you have your Dowsing Machine out, you can use the circle pad for walk/run navigation. |

Personally I've got no issue with the D-Pad requirement, the movement is still grid-based and the pad is large and easy to use, not to mention familiar since I've been moving my Pokemon trainers with a D-pad for 13 years now. Pad use came naturally. I went back to older games in the series to prepare them for Pokemon Bank and boy howdy, White's PC system is slow and awkward as crap compared to X and Y. Platinum and Gen 3 games are actually better at PC storage than White, but X and Y is the fastest it's ever been. If you could swap which Pokemon is held by your cursor in X and Y like in Platinum and earlier, I'd have no complaints there at all. Online stuff has also been super-improved. Being able to access it from anywhere is very useful, and you can trade Pokemon in your PC effortlessly without having to move them to your party. Many other things have been sped up or streamlined, too, like saving game progress. I also like that the playable character can finally be customized. I mean, if you're going to have a faceless, mute nothing as your protagonist, they should at least be customizable. I wonder if they'll ever go more in-depth with that. Obviously not to WWE game levels of creation, but some basics like changing clothes color and adding simple pre-made designs would be cool. Overall, VERY good games, all things considered. GameFreak made some serious improvements. There's still a few series staples that shouldn't be staples, like HMs, but the series is actually progressing and getting better to an impressive degree, I'd say. |

The thing is, IV Min/Maxing was never really supposed to be a thing but unless we can do it in some fashion in an official game competitive battling will always stay in things like Pokemon Online/Netbattle/Shoddy battle because you can just set your IVs to what you want, honestly IVs could be done away with by this point they have long past lost their original point and are generally only something that affects Hidden Power. Also LOL to the NPCs that said "Fairy type turns everything on its head" yes because dragons were not already weak to one of the best attack types in the entire game -.- |

Story wise not really, but there is about half the pokedex you're missing out on, the secret dungeon with the Z legendary, the Friend Safari system, 2/3rds of the other Mega Evolutions, the gruellingly difficult Battle Mansion and the Detective Story. And then watch the competitive system explode as another 200 or so Pokemon get added with the Pokemon Bank. |

Quite indeed. The farthest I've gotten in the maison in super singles was up to a 40 win streak, beaten by a Zapdos. Ironically, it was also my first trial of the super single battles. I can never get up back there to this day, even with a prepared team... |

So I have been Nuzlocking through Y, this may be the easiest nuzlocke challange ever. Tyrantrum and Mega-Charizard is unfair. |

Yup, it is very easy with XP share. The true fun starts with the Wonder Trade challenge. Same thing as Nuzlocke but you wonder trade out your catches. |

Welp, I finally got to the final fiftieth battle in the super singles challenge and faced against one of the bosses ... and lost... Guess what they have at the end, those damn genie pokemon. ALL 3 OF THEM!! It's not fair indeed... |

It is not even that, I have a Rock/Dragon type that thing is a beast even against fairy types, the sad thing is I accidentally killed a Gibble with a crit. A garchomp in a Nuzlock challenge would have been hilarious |

So they replaced uber Dragons with Fairies? Why didn't they Fairies a good standard weakness like Dark or Fire or Psychic? I get Steel, but Poison? Why does Game Freak hate balance? Lovin' the game so far. Like B/W it was a big step forward for the series, if they made a couple of mistakes (like making post game content introduced in Black and White DLC) |

Fairies are far from broken, and dragons are still the top tier type. The only two really good fairies are Togekiss and Azumarill really, maybe Clefable (i've been running one in a trick room team for doubles), also Aromatisse for doubles. Most other fairies get ko'ed by many things the powerhouses of the game carry, like they don't stand a chance anyway at neutral type attacks. |

eh there are better things they could have done to rebalance the meta a bit. The Poison/Steel weakness was rather good since Poison/Steel are two terrible types offensively. However Fairy's resistances are not exactly great, the metagame would have been altered a great deal more by them resisting both Electric and Ice making the combo FAR less prevalent than it is now. |
