If it is DeDeDe, and I'm honestly hesitant to believe that it is. I REALLY hope his gimmick is being 100% Face but always doing things in a stupid way that makes everybody THINK he's a heel.

So prefect.

Remember last year when we were excited for this?
King DeDeDe would be too obvious, but it also ignores two very important points. There are two other D names in VGCW who didn't get threatened. Dan and Donkey Kong. There may be something to the particular three chosen. Then you also include the implication that removing the guard rail and injuring Sabin was done by the same person. It could have something to do with the gym, and Sabin getting hurt was just an accident

Side note: I'm really happy with the direction this plot is going. I feel like it's been since the Ring Rangers that we've had this kind of mystery and intrigue in the show and I've missed it.

An apparent vendetta against d's, all that clamoring for York to get called up people have been doing, clearly there's only one logical explanation for all this

I want this. It probably won't happen, but I want it.

Order! Order in the court!
Aren't Duke, Dante, and Dracula all considered edgy? Someone wants the edge out of VGCW?
Then again, Travis wasn't pestered.

But they are all considered a part of the top card as well. Something similar to the Ring Rangers? :idunno:

A theory some people have raised in the spread betting threads is that Phoenix Wright is the one who wrote the notes, sending them to people who have defeated him in the past. While that would certainly work as a swerve, Wright's totally lacking a motive. If Nick wants to get even with Duke he can probably just ask for a rematch or goad Duke into one. As for Donte, Wright should know better than expect him to leave right now, and if Nick is feeling vengeful over a loss he could simply target Bison instead. Finally, Phoenix would have to be insane if he still wants any kind of revenge for losing to Dracula.

If this letter plot does happen to lead to an Edgeworth vs. Wright scenario, I doubt it will be from something like this.

So So
Another problem I have with the Phoenix theory is Travis. He was injured by someone and Phoenix has 0 motive to hurt him. Sure the events could be unrelated, but I don't think so.

This points me towards Dedede even more because Travis is a King and there can be only one King.

Pretty soon, we'll find the remains of Jerry Lawler backstage, crushed by a giant hammer, who could it be?

Well, if the hammer is involved, I think we all know who it will be.

Finally, Gonzales has come back to VGCW!

I feel it's less 'Phoenix wants people to leave based on things'.

More 'Phoenix wants everyone to get injured so that he can actually win a contender's match please'. It just so happens he's going for people who actually have beaten him as opposed to, say, Bowser, who he hasn't lost to before. It's a cerebral game of 'guys I really like wrestling, I would REALLY like to be champion but I know I try and don't get there a lot so... yeah just get these people out of my way'.

Feel like that's smarter, get everyone else in a tizzy and then present key evidence that makes Phoenix himself look golden. Sets up Phoenix Vs Edgeworth nicely on a meta-level, and it gives us Phoenix in the plot without him completely dominating it like he did in Season 2... and 5... and 6... and when he was Bazza's mouthpiece in 3... and the end of 4...

.. Phoenix Wright has a rough life.

Oh yeah! Something I wanted to bring up. We all kind of forgot about the second Legends contract, huh? Think that'll be addressed tonight/part of a DDD red herring?

Maybe the whole Legends Contract thing and the note are related.

Well let's think here. Duke Nukem, Dracula, and Sabin are all older stars. The only outlier is Donte, though I guess an argument could be made that he's older too, but he was rehired. Maybe whoever is sending these notes (and injuring Sabin) is the last Legends Contract. Is he trying to get it resigned to be someone on their way out or injured? This also could allude to why Donte was wearing gloves that one time, and maybe him getting attacked was a Red Herring set up by himself to draw attention away from him.

Though the question still remains why Donte of all people would be getting a Legends Contract in the first place.

So I literally just came up with this idea 5 minutes ago while I was on the toilet: What if the man who's writing the notes is not only trying to frame Edgeworth, but is his eternal rival from EDBW, the Demoman?

It'd kind of make sense; before Edgeworth was called up, their series was tied at 12-12, and since Demo hasn't been called up, maybe this is so he could get that last rematch to break the stalemate. I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE THIS IS A DUMB THEORY.

Depends on what we see in the coming weeks, but with getting swept by the Aliens, it's hard not to imagine tension brewing with the Bullies right now.

Snake/Jensen/Kanji teaming up to fight Gabe.
I could see it happening really naturally too.

In light of recent announcements, I wonder if Endgame X is going to end with a bang.

Maybe it'll turn out that Gabe really can't be stopped, and he destroys the world. Roll credits. Then the end stinger cuts to the GM's office, revealing the match was a W.H.A.T.I.F. match showing what would happen if Gabe went crazy and destroyed the world.

If future episodes of VGCW take place in a new timeline, then it could give the new showrunner some space to make whatever adjustments they think are needed. The titles should remain on the same people they're on at the end of Endgame X, though, since otherwise it would feel like a shaggy dog story.

If Bazza is leaving the show I imagine he'll be ending every storyline hes has going right now.

End Game is gonna be nuts.
