Another possible plot hook is the recent exchanges between Gabe and Adam, "I am the assistant GM" vs. "Assistant TO the GM." Gotta think Adam is going to get tired of that at some point.
I think that's just an Office (US) joke more than anything playing off the Michael/Dwight-esque dynamic that Gabe and Adam have. Wouldn't look too much into that.

It's also a reference to somewhat recent WWE events, when Vickie Guerrero was the GM of Raw and Brad Maddox was the Assistant (to the) GM.

With Illidan doing the whole "Mr. L" thing now, I have to wonder what's going through his head.

I wonder if he really is literally Mr. L, who has escaped from his prison and returned to seek revenge on the VGCW in a new form. I notice that both of his appearances so far have been against people who had previously beaten Gary, who used to be a member of the Elite Four alongside Mr. L.

We'll have to wait and see what happens the next time Ezio (the only other remaining Elite Four member) has a match. If Illidan makes an appearance, then that would add fuel to this theory.

In the meantime, the other big mystery that's afoot is the identity of these mysterious "rangers" that have been showing up. There's a few possibilities.

1. They're the Disciplinary Committee in disguise, and have been stirring up chaos for some unknown reason.

2. The "rangers" are former VGCW alumni who have returned for revenge after being "future endeavored".

3. The "rangers" are really just the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and they aren't really anyone else in disguise. The whole thing was just an excuse to bring back the Red Ranger.

I ALREADY TOLD YOU! I'M THE BEST!
Illidan is totally just Gary's bro for life, protecting him from bullies. They are BFFs and future tag champs. Alternatively think of him like the Diesel to gary's Shawn Michaels.

Kayfabe completely aside, I love that "X is Mr. L" is still a thing, even as long as it's been since Mr. L made a splash onto the scene.

That being said I'd fully endorse the idea that Illidan has somehow been possessed by the spirit of Mr. L.

Well, tonight we finally got a couple questions answered on who our spandex-clad attackers were, and their motivations.

Let me just say, TRUST NO ONE.

I think one of those rangers might be an octopus.

If those Rangers are who I think they are, it's gonna be reeeeeeal tough for me to boo any of them. Especially when I agree with their motivation of getting new blood into the main event scene.

Well, that's a pretty big swerve to predict. Personally, I'm drawing a huge blank on the orange guy. That silhouette just doesn't ring any bells for me.

Looking at it more closely, Yellow Ranger has a very similar facial structure to Mr. Satan.
