Let's see...

:gwar: Vs :waaa: - Wow...looking at the power rankings, I had no idea Bowser was so close to Waluigi. This match up suddenly makes sense...but I feel like the result, based on what we know of the two outside power rankings, makes sense and we'll see them drift towards their respective places in the league after this.

:skiesprotected: Vs. Octodad - Not a huge surprise here. Even if both of these wrestlers have been in the lower-tier lately, Octodad has a bit more respect in the league for...reasons. ( :darklord: ). Speaking of...

!snake! Vs. Ness Vs. :darklord: Vs. :badman: - Poor Snake...he works as hard as Scorpion but seems to get not even half the luck of our current Champ. Ness will take a hit for coming in third, but Ganondorf's likely to suffer even with his second-place position (Not sure how these work...) But the real story tonight is Vegeta, underdog by a small margin to Ness and Snake, but by a HUGE margin to the Dark Lord. He's been doing pretty well for himself lately, and fought very smart tonight, which should earn him at the very least a spot in the upper-midcard, possibly into the mid-teens.

 Vs. :bwoop: - Kefka really needs to stop aiming so high. It's doing terrible things to his record. He's not nearly the top-card talent he thinks he is...but Guile...apparently is? Or at least he knows how to bury a clown. Speaking of burying...

Dracula Vs. Phoenix - A pretty major top-card match here. They're actually pretty close in the power rankings due to how flat the top is right now, but Drac is sure to see a jump into the top 10 from this exchange, and that means Phoenix, unfortunately, may drop out after losing his shot at the biggest streak in VGCW history. For Drac though...this sets up a potential for him to take the board by storm and become the strongest VGCW Champ ever!...(again)

If I'm familiarizing myself with these numbers correct, Dracula's easy top 5, maybe as high as third. Phoenix may be down in the lower teens now.

Does Wily and Eggman vs Mr. Satan and Dan count as a match or is it not calculated like backstage brawls?
I'm assuming it's off record, correct?

It was also a tag-team match, so it only counts for tag-team ranking anyway.

that's right snake
I like the mystique of not knowing where all the tag teams are in terms of ranking. Also there's like 10 of them.
Anyway,

It's fun to see just where your favorites on each division line up with in each division on the rankings scale. Right now I got Bowser lined up with Terra at 11th and Sheena lined up with Nappa at 16th

...You are a magical wizard with those numbers sir.

About what I expected, save the Drac and Phoenix match which dang, didn't realize just how huge a move that'd be. I think it speaks volumes for how much room there is at the top right now for movement up and down. And Drac really IS in the prime position to become our most powerful VGCW Champ ever.

Well as mentioned before, a #1 contenders match is 1.5x more significant, so it's bound to have bigger shifts.

This, and there must have been barely a 50-point difference in their rankings last week, considering they were only 4 spots away from each other (in opposite order, so overcoming a higher seed = more points). It's more like 300 points now, but there are still a loooooooot of names that sit right around that range. Easily overcomable, should Phoenix get momentum into another streak (though that may not be as likely since he'll likely be fighting tougher talent than last time).

The first three are actually when Phoenix was in his WWE 13 default moveset incarnation, so those three wins were intersting in retrospect. I want to say that it was stated that he was a cruiserweight then which was supposedly a significant drawback, though those more familiar with the game mechanics could confirm or deny that.

I believe Jensen was the debut of the WWE2K14 version and the Lawyering Up comeback.

Actually, when Phoenix got his AA5 redesign, he also got a new moveset. He did not have the default moveset at any point during the streak.
