Looking forward to Octodad's big jump after winning that triple threat. Speaking of which, let's do a point prediction. Man oh man, is Octodad ever posed to take a huge point jump...but, looking at the actual point totals, he sadly won't see much of an actual rank jump from it unless a lot of folks fall into the lower-midcard. He's in a particularly sticky part of the chart right now - Even if he got the maximum 200 points possible for this, he'd still only move up eight places, and while a victory over AVGN is huge, he's more likely to just edge up under Barret Wallace, especially since Kefka's taking another fall tonight. Still, a very nice consolation prize for the normal human father that got eliminated from the Chamber of Elimination. Tingle was the expected loser for that match, so his position will only sink a little lower, but the AVGN might be in a little trouble. He won't lose much since he was eliminated second (I'd really like to hear some explanation for how multi-mans work one day, even if it makes no sense), but in his position, even a small loss in points is going to be big - the top is incredibly tight right now, and even with Drac taking a fall, the NERD might see himself a little closer to getting a two-digit ranking. Surprisingly with how well Vegeta's been doing lately, he wasn't favored to win his match with Airman, so the two will probably only see a little bit of movement from this, even though it was a title match. Geta will move a little closer to his Tag-Team partner (though sadly the two of them seem to be in a bit of trouble plot-wise), while Airman makes a crawl up towards the King of the Top Kard. Wow, in the heat of the matches tonight, I almost completely overlooked Arino's win over Sonic. And what a thing to overlook, because Kacho desperately needed those points to end his fall towards the bottom. It won't get him back into the upper-midcard sadly. At best, he'll be above Barret Wallace and below Sagat. It's rough moving at the bottom right now. Something Sonic may soon learn as he's set to take a plummet into the 20's range. He's still got some drive, but he'll have to catch a good break if he wants to retain his luxurious position as an upper-midcard opponent. MATCH OF THE NIGHT...doesn't get discussed here. :< As I mentioned before, Kefka's taking another slip down the ladder, but an expected one. He was never slated to win against Illidan in that fight, though they are surprisingly a lot closer in the ranks than I gave Kefka credit for. The rematch of Phoenix and Dracula was a phenomenal fight, and with the way their points are right now, could see the two trading places after Phoenix's victory, or at least bringing Phoenix back towards the top, and Drac down towards the ten-and-below. Who would've thought a lawyer and a vampire would have such a compelling rivalry? And Ezio...poor, sweet Ezio. This matchup was NOT stacked in your favor, and Ganondorf showed you NO mercy in this at all. Bazza is going to be sore for weeks about this if you don't eliminate at least ONE person in the Chamber of Eliminations next week, but at least you're not going to take a huge fall from this loss - you haven't got far to fall anyway. And with Airman's Victory, Ganondorf's likely not going to move from his comfortable #4 spot either. Edited by Introbulus, Jul 22 2014, 09:40 PM.

Sounds Like A Bodacious Time

Holy shit. Damn Guile, you scary! If the next contendership match isn't singles between Bowser and Guile, I will be very disappointed. That's a while off, though. Another thing of note, Red has rocketed like crazy. He is officially back in the middle of the midcard. He was sulking pretty low there for a while, but it seems he's crawled out of that slump. Another thing I'm surprised by is Heavy's position, just outside of the top ten. He could very well be a contender for the top title as well. Nick and Protoman's drops benefited a lot of guys. I'm really not sure why Pheonix dropped so far. Such is the computer. I'd never thought I'd see Kefka in the top 20, but wow. miracles do happen. The gap between the top 4 and the rest of the top ten is huge. There's nearly a hundred points between Guile and Gabe. Like I said, Bowser v. Guile for a shot at Kefka/Scorpion's gold. ASAP. A guy used to do them but then he just... vanished. I'll think about doing it myself, although it's a lot of work to get it started to be honest. Maybe when I'm bored before the end of summer. |

Guile did nothing wrong
|
Guile has to be next in line for a contenders match. He's won two big feuds in a row, it's time for plot to stop holding him back. |
