It seems "OK" to battle you.

He's definitely had a better season than midcard buddies Falcon and Ezio, that's for sure. Even beyond being able to bring justice to the midcard (Midgard?) for his pal Flint and showing Scorpion he's got his old turf on lock, I want to see Barret pull off the miracle against Air Man because much like his jaunted fight with Illidan, a win there is going to absolutely FUCK the power rankings hard in hilarious fashion. |

Out of curiosity, how is Sabin's return going to figure out? Is he going to start with the same points as he had when he left or starting fresh as a newbie before we count however that match goes? |

When Ness came back he got his old numbers, and he left long before Sabin did. Makes sense he would have his old score. |

Everyone, Scorpion has not only passed Ganon's title defense record, he has also passed Ganon's all-time ELO peak, the previous highest peak in VGCW history, 1802.7. The next step would be to break the overall ELO record, held by Ayla at 1899.9. I believe that Airman's passed Red's Casual Champions peak ELO, although that's far more difficult to verify. Also, as you may easily infer from the changes this week, I only counted the match between Gabe and UltrArino, as in, the one where the bell rung instead of the brawl. All in all, s'cool. Order! Order in the court!

Captain Falcon is at 43. Truly the biggest crime this entire season was the fall of the Captain of the Midcard. |

That is, unfortunately, often the case with former Casual Champs after losing their belt. Thanks to Falcon, Ezio's losing streak is over. But the Captain himself is on a 7 loss streak now. The majority of the losses are either kooky match ups like a table match or multi-man, or he's just gone against really strong enemies like Airman, Phoenix and Heavy. Only his loses to Sonic and Ezio are really that bad, and he did well in both of them. He'll come racing back soon enough. |

Hot damn this is late due to me being on vacation, but this is the sort of power rank chart movement we all look forward to - wide-sweeping and massively meaningful while being unpredicted at the same time. Ezio finally saw a victory in his friendly bout with Falcon, which drags him out of the dreaded bottom-five, but ironically brings Falcon right down there himself. Falcon's been struggling, but he's strong enough that he'll probably balance back out soon. Barret to my surprise is still in the Top 10, but he WAS up against an absolute monster who, at this point, is going to wind up outranking former VGCW Champions if his rank keeps climbing like this. Illidan's status as a monster gets somewhat kicked down today by a returning Sabin, who I don't care what you folks think his song was amazing and his new fighting style is really fun to watch. He looks to be a strong contender in the league, but only time will tell if he holds true. The True Dark Lord rises to rank 6 with an impressive win over Dracula. Our other Dark Lord meanwhile falls towards the bottom of the Top-Card, but is likely to climb back up soon if his past record is any indication. It'll be difficult to be sure, with so much talent at the top holding strong these days, but anything can happen in the VGCW. For having lost his big chance at the belt, Guile's still looking pretty strong on the rank board, only outranked by our two current powerhouse champs. Given his recent string of wins against really strong opponents, it's easy to see how he's earned this spot. And it's likely he's going to continue to hold onto it. Just as Scorpion, now that he's had a real unquestionably tough contender to beat, is going to hold onto a very strong record, win or lose. As for Gabe and Arino....I don't know. I feel like the fight here was scripted, but maybe I'm wrong. Either way it certainly gives the Kacho a bit of his honor back....and regardless of where Gabe is right now, I think we have every reason to fear what's going to happen next. |

Looking at the VGCW Power Rankings' Historical #1 Wrestler list, Red got up to 1551.2 before Captain Falcon smashed him through a barricade, so I'd say Air Man is indeed the highest-rated Casual Champion of all-time now. Now I want to see Scorpion vs. Air Man at some point more than before. Those two have been on a roll for a good long while. |

That's what I thought at first, but it's possible that someone sometime had a higher peak when somebody else was Rank 1. That Red peak was just really out of the ordinary because it's the only time the Casual Champion was Rank 1. |

Haha, Sabin is returning. I get it. Oh christ Falcon no whyyyyy.......I like Ezio winning but that is just, ouch. Everything else seems pretty normal though. |

You have a point there, but I think I can prove it. The champs before Red were Waluigi and Guile (in '13). They were mid-tier guys at best in those days and only defended the belt once each before dropping it, so it's tough to see them getting enough of a boost to be up over or even close to Red's mark prior to their losses. Now if you mean Segata, then that's where I'd have to look over the previous results... and a quick comparison check of the history shows that his all-time best was 1520.4 right before his non-title loss to Dracula. I think you can officially call it, and I love that wiki for saving previous edits so I could check that out. |
